The Painted Lady~step back in time
Lexington, MO, United States
Have you ever driven by a beautiful, old house and wondered what it would be like to stay there? Here is your chance! Explore Lexington from this 3 bed/2 bath, centrally located, restored Victorian. Enjoy your coffee from the porch swing or the sunny parlor before heading out to see the historic courthouse, wander downtown and explore The Battle of Lexington State Park.
Good to know
While antique and atmospheric, The Painted Lady also boasts modern amenities to make your stay both memorable and comfortable. Hang out in the well-equipped kitchen, relax in the parlor or library and sip a hot beverage from the many porches. There are three spacious bedrooms upstairs. Two bedrooms each contain a queen bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. Each bathroom has a soaking tub and the upstairs also has a large shower.
Other Details to Note
We want our guests to have a great experience. Part of that is managing expectations around what to expect when staying in an old house. Old houses are built differently than modern homes. Stair steps tend to be steeper, you might hear a window rattle and feel a draft when the wind blows. It is necessary to climb steps and walk over uneven ground to enter the house. To get to the bedrooms, you must climb another set of steps. We are unable to install baby gates at the stairs and therefore discourage families with children who require baby gates to be safe from staying here. The house is not childproof and the minimal railings and lack of baby gates makes it not appropriate for young children. If you have any questions about this, please ask!
